Serving spoon made from the bent branch of a Holly tree. Holly is usually a creamy white colour and very dense, it was often used as inlay in antique furniture due to its colour and capable of being used for fine detail. The log I used had been sitting outside in the elements for quite a while and has become heavily stained, sometimes this can make the wood look a bit untidy, on this occasion it has worked out really well.
